Well, as is to be expected, life in the Reed household in the last few weeks has centered on work and Logan. I'm really looking forward to unabashedly copy-catting Angie's new project to show you more about what a typical day & week looks like for us now. But, until I can figure out how to add that to-do to my already rather lengthy list, I'll just amuse you (and myself) with a few snapshots of what the little guy is up to.
The little man has decided that he loves to watch football. Our guess is that he likes the bold colors and almost constant motion of the beautiful HD picture. But, whatever the reason, it's absolutely adorable. Obviously, we usually try to watch our Aggies when they're televised, but when that isn't possible, he has expressed a distinct preference for watching the Cowboys. Sunday evening, I grabbed the camera to catch a few snaps of his amusement.
Go, Romo, Go!
Score!
Boo Redskins!
In the past couple of weeks, Logan has been all about checking out the world around him. When he's awake, he wants to be sitting up so that he can take it all in. So, we've been on a search for a front pack that will facilitate his new found curiosity. I think we finally found it with the Ultimate Baby Wrap.
(Yes, I do have a tank top on under the wrap!)
Of course, while Chris was snapping this picture, I heard a gurgling sound. With an instinct that I believe truly only comes with motherhood, I immediately reached out my hand to catch what I knew was coming up any second. I feel like this might be the day I truly joined the sisterhood that is motherhood. :-)
Eeeewww!
And, for quite possibly the most precious picture - at least in this post :-) … If Logan is awake when it's our dinner time, he doesn't much appreciate us putting him in his bouncer by himself. So, one of us will usually eat with him on our lap. One evening, Chris helped him say a blessing with us, and I couldn't resist grabbing the camera.
The funny part is that he has turned into such a ham that as soon as he sees the camera, he looks right at it. I guess that's what I get when for taking pictures of him on almost a daily basis.
And, last but certainly not least, his want to check out everything around him led us to propping him up on the couch with us from time to time. The funniest thing happened one evening when we looked over and realized that he had fallen asleep. What can I say??? He's already turned into our typical little man!
Other than him being absolutely adorable (if I do say so myself), he's basically a fat & happy baby who is already sleeping a consistent 8-9 hours each night with the occasional 10 hour night. At just over 2 months, I had to swap out a good number of his 0-3 month onesies for 3-6 month ones. We're using up the last few size 2 diapers. The next box I buy will be size 3. Does "growing like a weed" come to mind? After the rough start the little guy had, we both thank God for the blessing of such a wonderful & happy baby.
Oh, Logan has taken after his Grandpa when you look at the picture of him on the couch! Put Grandpa in front of the TV in a comfortable position and sleep is not far behind!
If Logan becomes that excited watching the Cowboys, what is his reaction watching The Aggies!!!
