Last night, almost exactly 1 year to the day after I got pregnant, I returned to spin class. I say that as though I stopped cycling immediately which isn't the case. I just thought that it was interesting timing. In fact, with the exception of when my all-day-morning sickness wiped me out for several classes in my 1st trimester, I actually kept cycling though my 2nd trimester. Once I got to about 28 weeks, the exhaustion (and weight, truth-be-told) that kicked my but in my 3rd trimester pretty much put a stop to working out.
I've tried to get to the gym at least a copule of times a week since I went back to work, and some weeks it has happened ... some weeks it just hasn't, but I've been dying to get back to spin class with my dear Cycle Chicks. So, 3 months after the little man made his entrance, I literally got back in the saddle again. And - oh vay - my tuckus hurts this morning. As do my legs, my back, my elbows ... shall I continue or do you ge the jist? BUT, the point is that I survived 60 minutes of Mistress Monica's spin class. I'd pat myself on the back - if I could! :-)
