Back in August, I posted about "My Dirty Little Secret" - aka "the box room" which was intended to be the nursery when we got around to having a baby. Believe it or not, in the last several months, it had actually gotten worse, but the time has obviously come to start cleaning out the mess that we had created. Here's a snapshot of the results:
I was actually shocked at how quickly we were able to weed through the myriad of junk that had accumulated in addition to the boxes. We accomplished most of the progress in just a few hours yesterday afternoon. There were remnants of my office at Raytheon and Chris' office at Celerity that landed up there when we left each place. There were a couple of boxes of season clothes that needed to be dispositioned.
There're just a few things left to deal with and group through - several boxes of framed photos that I need to decide what to do with, the leaves for our kitchen table along with 2 additional chairs (that still need to be put together), and a few empty plastic containers. That is completely manageable! Phew!
Next step … PAINT!

Thank you for the New Years letter and congratulations to both you and Chris. I have to say that I've started following your blog and you may have missed your calling. You need to do journalism or write a book. You are a great writer! (maybe kids stories :-))Good luck on this journey through motherhood. It's the best thing ever.
