From Shane Reed - Hi, we are looking for our dog "Hank". He is a 80lb White Lab with yellowish eyes and no collar. He is very friendly. He went missing on Sunday Jan 22 at 11:00am in the Village park community. We live at 5325 Oakley Rd.
Homeowners need to log into their account on the Lonestar website (http://www.lonestarmanagement.com/ )or contact Lonestar directly (469-384-2088) to get the code.
Due to some complications with de-winterizing the pool area, the pool did not open this weekend but will be open next Saturday (5/22). The cyanric acid level has caused it to have to be drained and re-filled. There are also repairs to the bathrooms from freeze damage that is being done.
One of the signs we use to annouce events in the neighborhood was taken from Dunster Drive sometime on Saturday. If you know the whereabouts of this missing sign, please let me know or just return it to its original location or 4801 Rushden Road (no questions asked). Thank you!
There has been a recent rash of vandalism at the park in Phase 1 (Kelly/Crawford/Buckland). We are working with the management company & developer to both clean it up and install more lighting to better secure the area.

Board Approves Attendance Boundary Proposal For 2010-2011
The Board of Trustees approved boundaries for the new Cheatham Elementary School and the realignment of middle school boundaries between Ereckson and Curtis Middle Schools. The housing communities of Star Creek, Quail Run, Cottonwood Creek, Waterford Trails, Waterford Parks, Saddleridge and Shaddock Park will comprise the new Cheatham Elementary School. Transportation will be provided for students living east of Watters Road and north of Stacy Road.
The new attendance zone created by Cheatham Elementary School will be assigned to Curtis Middle School for the 2010 – 2011 school year. Transportation will be provided for students living west of Hwy. 75. The route will take students south to Exchange Boulevard and east to Angel Parkway. The proposal was first presented at public hearings in October and was reviewed at public meetings in November and December.
A medium to large size white neutered male with a red leather collar and no tags was found in the rain today. It kind of looks like a husky or similar breed and is well behaved. Unfortunately, it has no chip. If you have any information on who this dog might belong to, please contact Cather Ooley @ famooley@sbcglobal.net or 214-592-9328.
A number of directory submissions have come through recently as spammy looking junk. If you've submitted information to the directory and haven't received a response, please email webmaster@mckinneyvillagepark.org.
Sorry for the temporary hiatus. The blog is back online. If you have any notes or happenings of interest from around the neighborhood, please email webmaster@mckinneyvillagepark.org. Thanks!
